My story

Tom was the sort of guy that everyone thought had a perfect life.

“I was happily married and running a business with a £2m turnover.”

But all that changed when he began
mixing with a crowd of high-fliers.

“They liked to party, with cocaine readily available. It was a bit of fun at the start. The collapse of my company saw me go from living the high life to trying to sell off anything I could. I got a taxi driving job and used cocaine as a way to lift my mood.”

Moving into crime.

“I found myself in circles that were orchestrating drugs lines that stretched from my area to London and beyond. I started using crack cocaine. My life span out of control.”

Eventually, he was arrested for drug trafficking.

“I lost my home, my marriage and my freedom because of debt and drugs. And I’d contributed indirectly to the misery of lots of other people too. If I hadn’t gone to prison, I wouldn’t have had the chance to put things right. I probably wouldn’t be here at all.”
